About us

Thistle Hill Farm is a small "direct to community"  farm.

Our hens are a "barnyard mix".  We have 15.  They lay eggs and we love them for it!  We give our eggs away to friends and also donate to our local food bank.

At times through the year we sell some of the bounty for $7/dozen.

We have two horses.  They are both geldings.  We call them our gentlemen horses.  Our oldest gent is named Mr Dickens and he's around about 23 years old.

He's a bit of a grumpy old man but we love him!  He's a Tennessee Walking Horse.

Our other gent is named Mr Earl and he's approximately 13 years old.  We're not altogether sure what he is.  We've had a few people guess.  All we know is he is BIG!

He's also very affectionate and we love him, too!

We grow a big garden during the growing months filled with potatoes, carrots, beets, tomatoes, peppers, flowers, etc.  All the good things!

We also grow greens and herbs all year 'round in our Tower Garden, and microgreens, as well.
